Mountain Pictures
We are fortunate to live in the American Southwest where mountains are easy to find. They are also easy to see because their geological detail is not obscured by vegetation. The mountains in New Mexico and Arizona include at least seven major life zones so the variety of plants and animals is endless.
The image at the top of the page shows the Sandia Mountains east of Albuquerque, NM at sundown on a rainy afternoon. You are looking north and the setting sun is shining through lots of rain clouds from the west.
We will be using our new 18 megapixel camera to photograph these mountains. The image resolution is so good the images can be used for making 20" x 30" prints. We will be posting these pictures here as soon as possible.
